No26 does not use gender language and takes a strong stance against this arbitrary distortion of the German language.
Supporters of gendering like to propagate the legend of natural language development. This is simply wrong and misleading. Gendering is a political program and has nothing to do with natural language development.
Contrary to what is proclaimed, gendering is not inclusive but exclusionary and damages the eloquence and beauty of language. It attempts to create ever new categories of people in a linguistically flawed, sometimes downright absurd way in order to "correctly" capture them. Our language does not need such abstruse constructions, nor does it need pseudo-human-friendly special spellings such as asterisks and colons in words. Our language is incredibly rich in terms and phrases and, when used correctly, it is precise, logical and comprehensible. Just one look at the sheer number of language errors on the online portals of major broadcasters, for example, reveals that the real problem is a lack of understanding and mastering the language.
In particular, attempts by a mission-conscious minority to impose such "new language" across the board are more than questionable, lack any legal basis and are rightly rejected by the majority.
Any language would be overwhelmed by the need to address every person individually in their uniqueness and diversity. In order to meet this criterion, language would have to degenerate into a mathematical algorithm and even then would not be able to foresee all eventualities of human characteristics. Language would then certainly be as unreadable as it would be incomprehensible. Gendering is a step in this unfortunate direction.
